3 To Launch Wireless Multiplayer Games

3, the UK’s first 3G network, is to launch multiplayer games in April that are played over the network. Up to four gamers can play each other in real-time over the network. The games will be available for purchase or rental.
I think that network games that can be played over the network, will succeed where Bluetooth games failed to deliver, particularly if 3 have developed a matching system similar to the one seen on Xbox Live, which will ensure that gamers always have someone to play.
I’m not sure if the data revenues will be substantial but at least the games will provide another reason for users to go online, where they may do something else, even if the revenues are low.
