Broadband penetration in the UK has really taken off in the last six months. BT has announced that it is to connect the five millionth wholesale broadband customer within the next few days, meeting its own target a year earlier than expected.
Over one million connections were added in just the last months – one new customer every 10 seconds.
It is expected that at current growth rates, soon over 1/2 of the UK’s net population will be using broadband. Hopefully some of them will find their way to my blog!
