Wireless LANs on trains

Mobile Market Research have published some interesting market data. They have predicted that revenues from wireless LANs on trains will reach £6.2 million (€8.8 million) by the end of 2005 in the UK and £0.8 million (€1.1 million) in France. I’ve never used a wireless LAN on a train yet, but the next time I’m on a train I definitely will as on my last train journey to Liverpool my 3G connection via my phone was useless and I know a card wouldn’t have fared better as my neighbour was trying to use his card and had no joy.
