Which will be better PS3 or Xbox 360?

I had an interesting chat with one of my colleagues today about which console would be better. I currently have a chipped Xbox which I use more to view media than to play games. Just because I currently favour the Xbox shouldn’t mean that this favouritism should carry over to the next generation.

Which console do you think will be better or will better suit your needs? I think the Xbox will suit mine more based on what I’ve learnt so far as I’m not a hardcore gamer (although I do like the Halo series) and I need more of a media centre I can wire up to my home network than a gaming machine.

my personal opinion is that the 360 is better for the lot as you can play halo as u noted you liked, you can link it up with you pc to watch tv, videos, listen to music etc. and there is no fee for doing this and i have had my xbox for 2 and a half years now and not yet had a single problem so i highly reccomend xbox!

i had both ps3 & xbox 360 , my xbox broke down 5 times and i was not happy with it so i through it out the window, my ps3 is well better hasnt died or overheated

if u wanted a console you can easily “wire up” then obviously a ps3 is better due to it being able to connect to media servers without needing a $50 add on. and ps3 is obviously the best as all of its specs are better than 360’s. has anyone noticed that and x box fans only good arguement is that it is cheaper and “better value for money” whereas the ps3 is better value for money in the long run as if u add up all the extra costs such as add ons and x box live memberships ps3 will easily outstrip the x box.

i have a PLAYSTATION 3 , but i will say dat xbxo 360 is better from it only cus of 1 thing and dat is we can do only 1 thing at 1 time on ps3 , like if we r playing game , we cant read messages or hear a song, do any settings. just to see that my friend has send me a message i have to quit my call of duty 4 game, and u know wat de message was - is call of duty 4 dat good?. only for dis i have to reset my online play again.wat is dis . sony must do something about dis prob. i am totally fed up .
