Which will be better PS3 or Xbox 360?

I had an interesting chat with one of my colleagues today about which console would be better. I currently have a chipped Xbox which I use more to view media than to play games. Just because I currently favour the Xbox shouldn’t mean that this favouritism should carry over to the next generation.
Which console do you think will be better or will better suit your needs? I think the Xbox will suit mine more based on what I’ve learnt so far as I’m not a hardcore gamer (although I do like the Halo series) and I need more of a media centre I can wire up to my home network than a gaming machine.
What about you?

on the x box 360 you can’t use controller movements, and that is called SIXAXIS.Also on the xbox you can’t watch the news around the world, that is called life with playstation.and finally x box is not touch sensitive, that is touchscreen.definetly PS3 rules.
