Microsoft To Release PC Security Suite And It Won’t Be Free

I’m a bit disappointed that Microsoft’s new security service won’t be free. I was hoping that they would be bundling this into their operating system as i think that the majority of users are starting to get baffled by the number of potential suppliers of security software.

Installing these applications also isn’t easy -existing applications have to be removed which can be quite difficult for the average user e.g. removing McAfee can take up to 6 reboots.

I personally think the best way to provide the best protection is network-based protection from ISPs or having the software built into operating systems so it is taken out of the hands of Joe Bloggs.
