"I need a computer for school!"
Everton | May 23, 2005 | Comments
Some things never change. A study by the BBC found that a third of 35-45 year olds originally bought their PC for their children.
I remember when I was growing up in the 80s and my big brother and I convinced our parents that we needed a computer for school, and then spent all day and night playing games! My brother did manage to do some programming though, even writing some pretty impressive games. Back then even 8 year olds could write machine code lol.
What was your first PC? Our first PC was an Orion in about 1985 (much better than a Sinclair Spectrum but it never took off), then we got an Acorn Electron then nothing for a few years until I got a PC (DX2-66 lol) at uni.
