Portals To Rule Blogging?

I've just read a good article on how the growth of Yahoo's and MSN's blogging services will pose a serious threat to blogware and Sixpart, because of their integration with their messengers.

I think 2006 will see many interesting developments in the messenger arena with clients having even better integration with Video and voice services, mobile, blogging, email, support, search etc.  Who owns and manages user identities will become the key battle for the future.
