Bloggers United

I’m amazed by how helpful members of the blogging community are.

Yesterday I asked if Technorati had a bookmarklet similar to Bloglines. Well I just opened my email and lo and behold there was an email from Stevel Rubel of Micropersuassion fame telling me that there is such a service.

Steve runs one of the most popular blogs out there (his feedburner counter is over 1000), but yet he still took the time to read my post, find the answer and send me an email.

I’ve had similar experiences with other bloggers like Darren Rowse, who also responds to all emails, comments etc. I think this is one of the major differences between blogs and traditional news mediums-blogging is interactive, traditional news sources aren’t - you don’t see ‘The Times’ asking for readers comments and then the editor sending replies back to individual readers.
