Technorati successors – BlogPulse And PubSub?

The Blog Herald has just posted an article which confirms my suspicions that Technorati isn’t as useful a tool as it used to be. Whenever I try to see who is linking to my blog the results tend to be quite hard to follow and border on being gibberish.
I also don’t receive that much traffic from Technorati even though I ping them every time I make a new post. I think this is because Technorati’s search engine isn’t very powerful or smart – sometimes when I enter a term I get strange results.
I’ve started using PubSub today and so far I’m quite impressed. Unlike Technorati, PubSub only crawls blogs and allows the quick creation of watchlists which can be added to RSS readers. It even a sidebar that can be added to Firefox or IE to quickly check watchlists.
It doesn’t have a site submission option (or I haven’t found it) so I’m not sure if Connected is being indexed. I certainly haven’t seen any referrals yet.
