IceRocket Link Tracker

I hope Trish doesn’t mind, but I copied some Javascript from his site that has added a cool IceRocket link tracker to my site that he has been testing.

I think this looks a lot nicer than the Cosmos/Technorati link as it has a counter so you can see how many links there are without having to click through. I’m almost tempted to remove the Technorati links as I’m not a big fan of Technorati at the moment.

Once the code was added it was a bit disconcerting to see how few links I have (sob!) although IceRocket has missed some links that I know I have – honest!

It was interesting to see that the trackback and IceRocket data don’t quite matchup. I guess this is because not all sites and blogs are registered with IceRocket.

    Yep - Blake sent me an email saying the same thing. I've taken the code down though as I think they IceRocket are doing some work on it which was affecting my page loading speed.
  • Yeah but it caught this one! No problem for copying. Blaks Rhodes tells me that a cooler version might be ready soon. Watch for it.
