Technorati And Blogware
How does Blogware integrate with Technorati? Does every word in the article get tagged or do only the words I put as keywords get tagged?
I’m trying to work out why my articles aren’t getting picked up in Technorati. Can anyone help? I’m just trying to work it out before I waste time manually adding tags to my blog.
I’m going to check out Qumana today if I get a chance, one of Tris’s companies, to see if it can help.

Hey,
Well part of the problem is Technorati is having trouble keeping up and indexing. As far as integration with Blogware, I don’t think the keywords are picked up, but the categories are (in addtion to any Technorati tags you place into your post … which, BTW, can be done with one click using Qumana.
I use a combination of Blogware categories (the same applies for MT/TP and WP categories) and tags. Categories are topics I use more than a few times, tags are more one offs.
Does this help?

Yes it does and I think you are right. I'll need to look into manually adding tags. I had a look at Qumana and it seemed cool but I couldn't see how to use it add trackbacks, excerpts or keywords which I like to do

Qumana doesn’t provide for those features yet, but we’re working on implementing them (a properties tab). For trackbacks, though, if in your Blogware settings you turn on automatic trackbacks, when you post it will look for the trackback to ping. That’s what I do, works most of the time.
