Carbwire.com Blog For Sale
Everton | Aug 01, 2005 | Comments 3
How much is a blog worth? Carbwire.com has put itself up for sale with a starting price of $10K for bids or a buy now price of $25K. Thankfully they have posted some metrics for any potential buyers.
However, I think their valuations are a bit rich:
- Average annual income $4,200
- Average monthly page views 65K
- Average unique visitors 30K
At $10K that would be 2.4x earnings and at £25K a whopping 6x earnings! Remember that all that is for sale is a domain and some traffic – the current runners of the site will be pocketing the money and booking a nice holiday somewhere.
Anybody paying willing to pay these prices must be crazy.
