Internet Auctions Boost UK Wealth

The BBC reports that eBay now accounts for 1.3% of total UK retail sales, with £4Bn worth of trades expected this year with some household’s generating up to £3,000 on eBay.Although, I’m not making this amount I have to admit that eBay has changed the way I buy goods. I’m no longer afraid of buying something that I’m not sure about as I know I can offload it on eBay if I don’t like it. I even use eBay to upgrade my products, rather than throwing them away. For instance I sold my used 15GB iPod on eBay and purchased a new 40GB from eBay US without losing any money and I also did the same last week when I bought a new router.
eBay has removed the stigma around buying second-hand products and I now try to check on eBay everytime I buy something just to see if I can get a better deal.
