Be Internet To Offer 26Mb Broadband Service From September
Swedish start-up firm Be is planning to launch a “super-fast” broadband service in Britain. From next month, the company will be offering connection speeds of up to 26Mb using ADSL2+. One of Be’s co-founders was previously involved in an ISP that offers 26Mbps connections in Sweden. The service will initially be available in London only and those lucky enough to be close to an enabled exchange will be able to access the super-fast speeds. No details on pricing have been given yet.
It seems like developing super-fast broadband is now where the UK market is moving to, with Telewest and ntl launching 10Mb services, and Telewest giving details of their future plans for speeds in excess of 50Mb.
