The feed for my blog is managed by Feedburner. I chose to do this as Feedburner allows me to track how many people take my feed and which readers they use. Over the last month or so, I’ve been averaging around 60-80 daily visits via RSS out of around 2,000 daily visits on average.Imagine my surprise then when I logged on today to check my blog and saw that the feed count had risen to 242! At first I thought it was an error, then when I checked my stats I saw that a new entry had appeared for Google Desktop which had accounted for the rise.
How does Google select what feeds to feature in Google Desktop? Obviously, I’m not complaining – I’m just curious. If you arrived at Connected Internet via Google Desktop could you let me know what section you saw me in please.
