iTunes 5.0 Released - Is It The Best Music Player On The Market?
I just downloaded the new iTunes 5.0 and I love it. The new features allows more control of playlists, which can be organised into folders and also adds a much needed Smart Shuffle option so that the random song selection can be made less random.
I know a lot of people complain about Apple’s dominance in the mp3 player and download market but I really don’t see why. For me at the moment, iTunes together with an iPod is just such a winning combination. Without these services raising the awareness of mp3 players and downloading music legally, would other services like napster have got off the ground? Would the labels (albeit grudgingly) have offered their support for downloads? I doubt it.
I think all true music connoisseurs should be thankful for what Apple have done.
