Agile Messenger Is No Longer Free – Here Are Some Alternatives
Everton | Sep 13, 2005 | Comments
Agile Messenger is one of the best Smartphone apps and is one of the first programs I install whenever I setup a new phone. Agile Messenger is a great IM client with push-2-talk functionality that allows users to connect with MSN, AIM, Yahoo! and ICQ users, and until recently it was free.Imagine my horror when I learnt after updating the software as prompted and installing the new version that I would now be charged! There are 2 options – €2.99 Euro per month or a one time fee of €19.95.
I know it’s not a lot of money, but I’m not paying as I’m very unhappy as the service has been free for years, so I’m going to try reinstalling the old version to see if that still works. If not then I’m going to try TipicMe which is a Jabber (same technology as Google Talk) Symbian Client which is still free.
