Pics of Nintendo Revolution Controllers - Not For Kids?

Nintendo have released the first photos of the new Nintendo Revolution controller. The controller is designed to be used in one hand. Nintendo’s boss stated at the launch event that:

“Its intuitive form allows both experienced and new gamers to stand on the same starting line,”

Mr Iwata said the Revolution controller and console was aimed at converting new users to gaming who were scared off by the fast pace of existing games.

“If we can’t do that, we might as well stand back and watch the market die off,” he said.

Judging by the size of the controller it looks like Nintendo wants the Revolution to become a device that sits in the living room that the whole family uses. I don’t think they are targetting the console at Kids, which is currently Nintendo’s main market, as the controller is way too big.

Also, does anyone else find it strange tat Nintendo are releasing pictures of handsets before supplying details about the actual Revolution itself? Surely they know that this is what people really want to see?
