Playstation 3 - Can You Wait 5-7 Months?

Engadget were lucky enough to play a Xbox 360 for a few hours and left very impressed. The reviewer signs off with the following comment:

Yeah, so the PS3 will probably have the edge over the Xbox 360 in graphics and sheer computational power, but after actually playing some of these games it’s hard to imagine all but the most diehard Sony fanboys holding out for the 5 - 7 months that’ll pass before Sony introduces their console.

I have to agree. At the moment most of my friends who are die-hard PS2 users are trying to hold out for a PS3 but I can’t see them lasting the distance once they see the Xbox 360 in the flesh.

I really think we will see the end of Sony’s dominance and yet again Microsoft have shown that they are a force to contend with.

    I think people are forgetting Sony have been saving all the best ps2 games to fill the void between xbox 360 and the launch of ps3 - dragonquest, ffxii, re4, onimusha dawn of dreams, tomb raider legend, king kong and many more and the fact that once the 360 arrives all of these top titles will be available for around 1/2 the price of a new 360 title, let alone the cost of a new console….do not underestimate the power of the playstation!
