You don’t need to download the headers to use the supersearch – that’s the power of newsleecher.

Downloading headers from a big group can take a while, but you can speed it up significantly by installing the Giganews accelerator

I subscribed to Giganews.
In Newsleecher I Subscribed to various alt.binarie groups.
I’m recieving the headers for these groups but this is taking days. (avg. 1meg/sec).
Should I let this finish downloading the header?
Do I have to download the headers every so often?
That would take several days again.
Is it necessary to get the headers for all these groups?
If I do a Supersearch will it still find the item I’m looking for without downloading all the headers from all the groups?
