Help - Why Are My Google Adsense Impressions Lower Than My Site Impressions?
As regular visitors may have noticed, Google Adsense adverts have reappeared on my blog. However, according to the Google Adsense reports the ads are only showing on around 1/10 of my pages. If this is true obviously I want to fix it as I could be making ten times as much money. I’ve fired off emails to Google and Blogware to see if they can help. Any ideas why? All help appreciated.

Make sure you aren't counting XML requests when looking at your blog's visitors stats. Also, keep in mind that visitors w/out javascript enabled won't see your ads and those with ad blockers may not see them. Also, when I look at this page currently the ad is a Google ad and I'm not sure if those would be reflected in your AdSense stats.

I'm definitely looking at the html numbers. I do around 10-12K html requests per day on average, but only around 1.2k google impressions. I'd be amazed if 90% of my readers have j/s disabled or ad blockers in place

I’ve noticed thhat their stats are just often incorrect.
1. They’re batch updated… not realtime
2. They don’t add up.
3. If there is no ad inventory at a given time I’m not sure you get an impression.
Not sure about #3 though. I’m still tuning adsense though…

Try running an alternate ad program to see if the numbers jive.
I have a popular local site with about 50K+ visitors month (100,000 if you count non-human traffic) and the program only counts about 1,500 impressions day. Heck, I’m on my own site all day and probably generate 1,000 impressions day.
In my experience, the program seems to be Waaay offf!
Website are really at their mercy with no auditing.

lol this post brings back memories. I think the problem was that Blogware were reporting server requests not page views….it’s been so long I can’t remember
