Last week on Connected

Phew it’s been a very hectic week. The new site design is finished (although I bet I won’t be able to stop myself fiddling with it!) and I hope you like it. I still need a bit of help customising My TagCloud so if there are any XML experts who can spare 10 mins can they drop me a line please.

I’ve got back into the habit of posting frequently, and I think it has shown with average visits jumping from 3-4K per day to close to 20K per day over the last couple of days! This is mainly due to my post 10 Simple Ways to Speed Up Windows XP getting picked up by del.icio.us, digg and many other smaller sites.

Despite only 300K Xbox360s being allocated to Europe at the last minute I got confirmation that I was going to be one of the lucky few, with my Xbox360 arriving on Tuesday.

I also posted an update to one of my most popular posts on Why eBay Bought Skype.

I discovered a few new cool utilities last week:

- XBlist to track Xbox Live buddies on your PC
- JHymn to play music purchased on iTunes on other mp3 players

I also speculated about what a ntl/Telewest/Virgin powerhouse could look like. It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes of the merger rumours in the week.
