I’m in a bit of a quandry at the moment about what gadgets to put on my shopping list next year. Item’s that I ‘need’ include a new PC (my current PC keeps crashing every 60 mins or so) and a Home Cinema System.
The area where I’m not sure what to is video playback. At the moment I’m using my hacked Xbox to watch movies. My options next year are to:
a) Get a Telewest PVR
b) Build a Windows Media Center PC and hook it up to my new Xbox 360
I think I’ll probably go with option b). If so, I’ll need to use the Videora Xbox 360 Video Converter as the Xbox 360 only supports playback of DVR-MS, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and WMV video. The Videora software will convert avi divx, xvid etc to these formats so that they can be watched.

I guess this will have to do until someone works out how to hack the Xbox360.
