Songbird MP3 Player Beta Coming This Week – Will It Better iTunes?
Everton | Dec 18, 2005 | Comments 11
Songbird are going to launch their beta MP3 player this week, they are just working on the latest set of customisations.
Songbird is based on Firefox and has been created by the team behind Winamp 5 and Y! Music Engine. I really hope that they live up to their promise of delivering new innovative features.
I, like so many others, have become so used to iTunes that it is going to take something special to make me switch mp3 players.
I guess we will know in a couple of days.

Hard to dislodge Itunes . They have massive barriers to entry- considering that its the only software that syncs with the iconic Ipod!
