Not For The Faint-Hearted: Stream DivX to Xbox360 via MCE

One of my few beefs with using my Xbox 360 as a media extender was the lack of support for DivX (and the poor audio quality but I realised that was because I had a poor soundcard).

Well, someone smarter than me has come up with a ‘fix’ for this problem.

divx.jpgThe fix isn’t particularly slick and isn’t for the faint hearted. If you are desperate, and judging by the load on the site, there are a lot of you out there, then follow these instructions.

Me? I’m going to stick with my new amazing PC which can convert DivX’s in minutes, thanks to ATI’s Avivo XCode, although I will check the site again at the weekend as an improved solution is promised.
