Microsoft To Make iPod Rival?


Microsoft is working on plans to develop its own rival to the iPod, a departure from its current strategy of concentrating on developing media player software for other manufacturers, BusinessWeek reports.

I think this rumour is probably true as I believe that Microsoft want to own the living room, and the risk posed by the iPod Video is too great to this goal, particularly if Microsoft doesn't have a competing portable player.
