Sony Aibo To Be Put Down

Sony has killed off AIBO, its toy robot dog, as part of a streamlining effort that helped the Japanese electronics giant increase its third-quarter profit nearly 9 percent and position itself to stay in the black, the company said Thursday.

Although AIBO is pretty cool, I could never understand why anyone would pay £1500 for one. I seem to remember reading somewhere about a guy who had a dozen or so and treated them like real dogs. Crazy.
