Virgin Mobile offers customers free texting

Virgin Mobile has launched a “Summer of free texts” promotional campaign in the U.K., where the MVNO plans to give away 20 billion text messages to its customers through September.

New and existing subscribers can send up to 1,000 free SMS per month as long as they’re to other Virgin subscribers. A print and outdoor campaign will support the promotion.
