Nokia N80 Delayed Yet Again
Well it was supposed to be launched on Vodafone UK early April, then Late April, then May 5th, then the 12th and now May 28th.
I’m getting worried that the Nokia N80 will be as buggy as the Nokia 6630 and the Nokia 6680, although I have to admit my current Nokia 6680 (on my 3rd!) is sort of behaving itself, apart from not letting me charge it - I have to put the battery into another phone to charge it!
Fingers crossed that Nokia will iron out all the problems before launch this time.

The Nokia N80 is packed with entertainment features including a 3-megapixel camera, high quality music with XpressMusic and a high resolution display. Commonly-used email solutions and office productivity tools are included in this device to complement the 3G and WLAN connectivity. The Nokia N80 is the first Nseries slide device, equipped with WLAN and 3G, to feature UPnP technology. This allows the device to be used as a remote control for wirelessly sharing content between compatible PCs, audio equipment and TVs.

The N80 is available on Vodafone. I asked in a Vodafone shop yesterday (May 14th) and they had one left, but the price seems a bit steep compared with other networks and even against a “sim free” handset from Carphone Warehouse (which is cheaper than Vodafone are selling their Vodafone-locked handset).

The lack of software is really annoying, especially as I can’t install my usual favourite apps. I’m starting to wonder if V3 is causing problems for developers as something isn’t right….
