I’ve just had my knuckles rapped by my host, Siteground. Apparently the combination of my 900 ReRewrite rules, 36 plugins and my traffic is putting too much of a strain on Siteground’s shared mysql servers and I’m in breach of Siteground’s AUP so my site has been blackballed.
I could delete the plugins but I need the ReWriteRules as I don’t want to lose all the traffic I’ve spent 18 months of work building up, so I’ve been forced to a Virtual Private Server. I’m a bit gutted as the $5/800GB deal seemed a steal and I was going to start posting again today after working flat out for the last 5 days to get my site ready. Guess I should have read the small print…..
The upgrade will go through in about 12 hours so please bear with the site, but I’m begging SiteGround to remove my blocks now.
