Best World Cup Internet Sites

I’ve been bookmarking my favourite World Cup Sites and I thought I’d share them with you. if you have any sites you think should be on the list, leave the url as a comment and I’ll add the site. Also, let me know who you think is going to win - I’ll start a poll later on today.

I can’t believe the World Cup starts tomorrow! For the last four years I’ve been reading and hearing how this is England’s best chance to win the World Cup. I’m not a true believer, as even though England have some good players they never seem to play well as a team. I also think they are going to struggle without Rooney - I don’t think he’s going to take part. My theory is that their abilities are balanced better with their club teams e.g. Chelsea have Makelele to mop up after Lampard, Beckham has a great team around him in Spain etc etc. Anyway I’ll be cheering England on all the way and I won’t ever stop believing like in the great MarsBelieve Campaign.

Brazil are the favourites, but I don’t agree. I think the climate will suit European players or players used to playing in Europe so I’m going for Argentina to win and they are slowly creeping up the ‘Who Will Win The World Cup Poll’ as the majority of their team play their club football in Europe. I know lots of people will disagree with me.

Your table needs updating - Ballack and Shevchenko have just signed mega paydeals with Chelsea.

Thanks for the reply. I have added additional notes from Forbes on Ballack. I will research further on the new paydeals for Ballack and Shevchenko and make a note of it on the site.

Did you know that the official World Cup committee decided that all the tickets will have RFID tags that will contain the name, address, birth date, nationality, and ID card or passport number of the person who bought the tickets. I feel that this is an invasion of personal privacy and it shouldn’t be allowed.

I didn’t know that … And I really don’t understand why they would go to such extremes. I don’t think this helps as far as security is concerned. London Tickets are a lot simpler and we don’t really expect this sort of problems

London Tickets are a lot simpler? Now what do you actually mean by that?
