England 2 – 0 Brazil: Peter Crouch Beats Ronaldinho On Search Results (And Height of Course!)

According to a comment left earlier by Heather Hopkins, Director of Research for Hitwise, and on her blog Peter Crouch is about to overtake Ronaldinho as the second most searched for player in the UK, only beaten by Steven Gerrard who’s a injury concern at the moment.
‘Crouchy’ as he is becoming known, is now famour for his robot dance goal celebrations and searches for ‘peter crouch dance’, ‘peter crouch robot’, ‘crouch robot’ and ‘peter crouch robot dance’ are among the top search terms for the striker. I personally can testify to this as I think I was one of the first to link to the ‘robot remix’. My site got hammered on Thursday and Friday last week, and it was a tough decision for me to move my blog over the weekend as I was getting so much traffic, but I had to stick to the schedule.
If Peter Crouch had tried to come up with a better way to endear himself to the English public I don’t think he would have come up with a better one. He is so popular right now and I bet lots of people want him to start now just so that he can hopefully do his dance again. I really can’t see the Trinnies copying his moves though when we play them!

Theres a good reason for that. People around the world want to know what a skinny 6ft 7 beanpole footballer that cant get the hang of using his height, looks like. in other words he’s a “zoo attraction”. Everybody knows what Ronaldinho looks like, they just want to see his skills.
