My Ten Favourite World Cup Goals

8. Pelé (BRA) Vs Sweden in 1958

This may surprise you, but I’m not a big fan of Pele and I think he is over-rated. Anyway, it was nice to see him in the opening ceremony and to see a man of 70 sprint like a 25 year old - he clearly still loves the game. This goal is great and remember he was only 17 at the time.

7. Bobby Charlton (ENG) Vs Mexico in 1966

I just love watching Bobby Charlton goals. Left or right foot - it didn’t make a difference. He would always just ‘fire and forget’. One thing I’m determined to do this year is watch the 66 final as I’ve never seen it. You Beauty!
