My Ten Favourite World Cup Goals

4. Michael Owen (ENG) Vs Argentina in 1998

I’ll always remember this goal. I was stuck in the office and I had the volume on full blast in the TV room which was about 50 feet away to try and hear the game. Somehow, I knew something was going to happen and I ran into the room just as Owen received the ball…the rest is history.

3. Carlos Alberto (BRA) Vs Italy in 1970

The greatest team and the best team goal ever in my view - you don’t get a bigger stage. Count the number of passes leading up to the goal. I just love the way the camera trys to work out where the final pass is going and then whack! Alberto just hits the ball like a runaway train
