Google Do It Again: New Firefox Extension Makes Surfing Easier
Google have done it again and launched yet another amazing product. They’ve just rolled out a new extension for Firefox that not only synchronises bookmarks across several computers, but also saved passwords, history and cookies. I’ve been using the Foxmarks Extension for a while, but the new Google Browser Sync Extension wipes the floor with it.
I’m a big fan of Google’s. Why? Because Google launch products that genuinely make my life easier. I love Google because they:
- Allow me to manage 3 email accounts in one inbox more easily than I previously managed one, with gmail
- Allows me to easily manage and read quickly over 100 feeds with Google Reader
- Have cut out all the crap I don’t need in an instant messenger with Google Talk
- Allow me to easily ad targetted advertising to my blog with Google Adsense
- And of course they have a top-notch search engine.
The new extension is a classic example of how Google launch products that are actually desirable and have real-life applications, rather than products that only excite the blogosphere for two days.
How do they do it? I don’t know, but I hope they keep it up.
