I’ve Been Setting Up A Charity Blog – Suggestions For Improvements Please

I was contacted earlier this week by a member of the Global Neuroscience Initiative Foundation (GNIF) who reads my blog and liked my new theme, and he wanted to know if I could give walk them through setting up my theme as they wanted to replicate it. The GNIF is a non-profit charity organization for the advancement of neurological and mental health patient welfare, education, and research. Their aims include furthering brain related studies, ending stigmatization and discrimination, improvingthe well-being of afflicted individuals, promoting the free and open-access distribution of brain related information, and creating universal and multidisciplinary distance educational programs.

Given that they were a charity I offered to setup their blog for free and after a lot of work this week it is almost ready to go.

Check out BrainBlogger here. They want to create a custom header image, but that’s beyond my very basic skills so if you are a designer or can help can you get in touch please.

Given that the BrainBlogger site is based on my theme it obviously looks almost identical to Connected Internet, but the GNIF have given some good feedback on the design and have made some good suggestions that I have since incorporated into both designs.

This has made me realise that other readers will be able to help me improve my theme, so I’m now officially asking for feedback:

  • Is there anything you’d like to change about Connected Internet?
  • Are there anyny features you’d like to see removed or added?
  • Are there any features you particularly like?
  • Are there any features you miss from the old Blogware blog?
