There’s a nice scam going around the internet at the moment. A 19-year old German girl is promising to streak at the World Cup if her site gets 11m visits before the tournament ends. The counter’s already at 6.5m at the time of posting so I’m sure she will make it.
‘Unfortunately’, I don’t think we will be seeing her streak as it’s setup to get 11m people to look at her adverts. Even with a very low clickthrough rate her site could be looking at thousands of clicks which would be worth a fair bit of cash.
Still, it’s a very clever scam and a couple of others are starting to emerge.
