What’s The Best Way To Get Wordpress Stats?

I’ve been having a discussion over the last day or so with Martin from gHacks about our relative traffic stats.  About 6 months ago we had the same level of traffic, but gHacks has definitely moved onto another level since then thanks to Martin’s hard work, whereas Connected Internet has suffered from a bit of neglect, but things are starting to improve again.

After looking at the numbers being provided to me via the various tools at my disposal (Stattraq and Wordpress reports as plugins, and Analog, AWStats and Webalizer via my server) I’m getting a very unclear picture of what is going on.  Depending on which tool I use, I’m getting between 1-8k visitors per day, 1.5-14 pageviews per visit and 2-30K page views per day!
I was going to do a search for the best Wordpress reporting tools, but I thought it’d be easier to ask.  What’s the best tool to use as either a plugin or at the server level?
