Unknown Music Video Tipped To Be Christmas No.1 - Thanks To YouTube

I was just speaking to one of my music industry pals and he asked me if I’d seen the Chacarron video yet.  I did a quick search on the net and apparently these guys are fast becoming a underground sensation, since their video was was posted on YouTube. 

Chacarron was made by El Chombo, who before their new found fame were two obscure guys called Rodney and Andy from Panama’s Reggaeton scene.  Although the song was recorded over a year ago, it became popular with holidaymakers in the Caribbean’s Dutch Antilles.

It’s getting so much airtime now thanks to YouTube that some DJs, including Radio 1’s Scott Mills are tiping it to be the Christmas Number 1:

“Imagine how amazing it would be if this was the Christmas No 1 instead of the X Factor winner?”
