Great Photos Showing Evolution Of Windows From Vers 1.0 To Vista
I just found a great link on Digg that shows the evolution of Windows from Windows 1.0.1 to Windows Vista. It’s amazing to see how much the skin has evolved over the years. Look at the screenshots of Windows 1.0 and Vista below and you’ll see what I mean:

I still remember vividly my first exposure to Windows. I was about 17 and I was at my brother’s girlfriend’s flat and he started playing Solitaire on her Windows 3.1 computer and I was totally blown away. I’d heard about GUI interfaces and mice etc from my computer studies GCSE, but I’d never seen it in action. I think I played Solitaire until about 4am that night because I was awful at it and I think I only managed to complete it about twice all night.
To this day, I still suck at Solitaire for some reason and my completion rate is still only about 10%…..My brother went on to marry the same girlfriend, and it’s funny to see how hopeless they are with computers now in my view (they don’t even have broadband!), whilst I’ve gone totally the other way!
What was your first exposure to Windows or have you got any stories you want to share?
