New Blog Advertising Service “ReviewMe”
Sponsored Review
I was recently talking to one of my colleagues about how annoying it is sometimes to read about new businesses launching that take such simple ideas that no one has thought of, and turns them into successful businesses. ReviewME is one of those great ideas in my view.
ReviewME have created a marketplace through which advertisers can get bloggers to talk about their products. A searchable directory is available for advertisers to choose the blogs they want to use. All blogs on the system are reviewed and have to meet certain criteria in terms of readers, reach etc to ensure that only blogs that can influence the right demographic are listed. Bloggers are allowed to be totally impartial and don’t have to give a positive review. All bloggers have to do is say that the post is ’sponsored’ somewhere in the post, like I have right at the top.
In my view this could be a very cost effective way of launching products and spreading the word for both small and large companies. Given that bloggers tend to read other blogs, and also write about the same thing it could be possible to get featured on many blogs and a very wide reach, all for one $100-250 ad.
I’m constantly bombarded with emails asking me to try products or promote launches. In the past I tended to just post the ones I found interesting for free, even though I knew I was being kinda taken advantage of, but I always like to help. I think I might start diverting some of these through ReviewME, so that at least I get some payback for the free promotion.

No, I’ll have a look at them later. Are they reputable? I don’t like the idea of throwing crap up on my blog just to make a few quid
