I read the papers this morning and the excuses pour from the sports writers that the England's "injury" list is getting bigger.. Yeah right! As a footballer, I don't like John Terry and I think he knows King is better than him. But its not about that really. As a sporting nation we will never get it right. Too often the big boys seem to bow to the imaginary pressure of keeping their "chosen ones" on a pedestal for fear of what the outcome would be should the "golden boys" not look so golden in the adoring nations eyes. When they should be dealing with the issues at hand. I really think we as a sporting nation have an attitude problem, and until it is sorted out, overcome or however it is suppressed, we will never achieve anything that would be worth putting on a pedestal. As a sporting nation we will never get it right. Too often the big boys seem to bow to the imaginary pressure of keeping their “chosen ones” on a pedestal for fear of what the outcome would be should the “golden boys” not look so golden in the adoring nations eyes. When they should be dealing with the issues at hand.

I really think we as a sporting nation have an attitude problem, and until it is sorted out, overcome or however it is suppressed, we will never achieve anything that would be worth putting on a pedestal.
