Seems like iTV was talking to BSkyB as well as ntl, as BSkyB yesterday bought 17.9% of ITV for £940m. I think they’ve overpaid as ITV has been in the doldrums recently and I think things are only going to get worse, but BSkyB said that they believed that ITV had ‘substantial potential for long-term’ value creation.
Only time will tell I guess.
