A 21st Birthday is traditionally a sign of reaching maturity, but there’s no sign that Microsoft has learnt anything about usability and security. So why not celebrate 21 years of mediocrity and frustration by moving to a decent operating system, there are alternatives.

I actually used windows 1.03 with wordperfect on a Compaq ‘transportable’. I still have the 5 1/2 floppies and manuals! (not the 8088 based Compaq which weighed about 30 lbs!)

Oh yes, I now use elive (elivecd.org), a Debian based Linux using Enlightenment for its window manager; same as the Playstation 3.

I don’t think that is true, because he has stayed relatively close to the $50 billion mark on the “world’s richest” list for some time now. And that $50b is what he’s “worth,” not how much he actually has accessible to him. Not that $50b is anything to sneeze at, but these days he just isn’t “earning” $20m/day.

Also, for what it’s worth, his salary is under $1M/year.
