Any Tips On Improving Yahoo! Search Engine Optimisation?
November 19th, 2006 • Related • Filed Under
I’m on a mission today to find out why I’m getting next to no traffic from Yahoo! despite being crawled constantly.
Have you got any tips? Or, should I give up on Yahoo! and focus on getting more Google traffic?

I guess it’s more about the visitorship of yahoo, that seems not very geeky.
I’ve a geek blog in France too, crawled everyday by Yahoo’s bots and it drives very few traffic compared to google. This month for example, I’ve had 30K visits from Google and less than 300 from yahoo…
When i try some requests that works on Google, they work fine on Yahoo too…
So, as you mentioned, i think you should focus on google

I think there’s more I can do. yahoo may not be very geeky, but I should be getting more traffic in my view.

I’ve been thinking about this, too.
On each of my sites, around 99 out of every hundred hits from search engines come via Google.
To be honest, at his stage, I’m wondering if Google just has 99% of the market cornered!
