Buy Links And Get Kicked Off MSN Search
I just read an article over at Feed Blog for the first time in ages that got me thinking. Apparently MSN are booting sites that buy and sell links, and apparently Kevin is threatening to do the same with Tailrank:

Now, I have to admit I’ve learnt my lesson about advertising over the last week after signing up for some awful schemes such as this one which was paying a decent amount per link but was adding total garbage to my site (removed after 2 days), and also allowing Adbrite to serve network ads which resulted in lots of casino ads being shown, that I refuse to have on my site for ethical reasons.
However, I think banning sites for selling links is a bit unfair. I still have text-link-ads.com links on my site, and I quite like them. Not only do they pay a decent amount per link, but they’re actually relevant to my site.
Surely, I’m doing nothing wrong?
