5 Things You Didn’t Know About Everton Blair
I was getting worried that I wouldn’t be tagged as part of the Blog Tag game that has been doing the rounds around the blogosphere. I got my first Blog Tag from JohnTP this afternoon, which means I have to share 5 things that my readers don’t know about me.
Unfortunately, Sreejith who tagged John made a total mess of linking back to his tagger, so I can’t tell how far back this meme goes. Hopefully, if he sees this pingback he will fix his link…..
Ok, here are 5 Things You Don’t Know About Everton Blair:
- Although the rest of my family have always been church-goers, I only became a Christian myself 2 years ago
- I peaked very early on in life and managed to get a place at Cambridge University to read maths, although I changed to economics very quickly as the anorak didn’t fit me very well!
- Despite being a bit of a maths whizz, a month before I started my maths course at Cambridge University, I was rejected for a clerical summer job because I failed a basic numeracy test, which shamefully is the only test I’ve failed in my life. It had been so long since I’d done any normal maths (I was more than comfortable with linear algebra, 2nd level differential equations, discrete mathematics etc) I’d forgotten how to do carry numbers over and how to do long division!
- I love sports. Although I don’t play anymore, in the past I was a County (equivalent of State in US) 200m champion and I also played Rugby for my County on the wing as I was very, very fast - I think I still hold the 100m U-15 County record
- And finally, my name isn’t really Everton Blair! Everton is however my middle name, and Blair is my mother’s maiden name
The rules of the blog tag game state that I now have to tag 5 other bloggers. My picks are my blogging partner in crime Martin from gHacks, my first mentor Darren Rowse, Peter Ejtel from Blogware who convinced me to start blogging, Ajay who I’ve been talking to for long periods everyday recently and Sarah aka bookchiq from blogging expertise.
Hopefully if they spot their ‘tag’ they’ll link back to this article so that future people who have been tagged can follow the meme back.
