Tray Devil: Great Freeware System Tray Minimiser

There are some great new sites emerging every month.  Ryan from CyberNet introduced Wikio to me this morning, which at first glance looks like another Digg clone, but has some cool features that I need to look at in more detail.

Another great site I’ve subscribed to recently is OneTipADay.com.  My daily RSS reads have recently become unbearable as I’ve made some new friends via MyBlogLog, whose sites I’ve added to Google Reader.  That’s why I love great sites like OneTipADay, who post only, well, One Tip A Day.  They’ve recently added MyBlogLog image tracking, so I can see that some of Connected’s readers have also discovered this site.

Today’s tip is a gem.  The author Tony has uncovered TrayDevil, a free app that lets you minimise any running window to the system tray so that you don’t even have to alt-tab past them, but can still have them running in the background.

I’ve just installed TrayDevil and the feature I actually like the most is being able to set a Window to stay always on top.  This worked great with MSN messenger as it allowed me to make sure the chat window stayed on top while I continued to work today.
