How To Add iTunes Artwork To MP3 Tags Using iTunes

I just found a very good itunes tip today via Lifehacker.  I have a very big mp3 music collection which I’ve painstackingly added the ID3 tags to every mp3 file to make sure that the track and album details appear correctly in iTunes and also on my Xboxs running XBMC, but also so that the artwork is displayed.

iTunes 7.0 messed up my system, as although it was adding the artwork to my tracks, it wasn’t adding the artwork to the actual ID3 tags so that other apps and devices could see the artwork.  What this great tip does, is trick iTunes into adding the high-quality artwork from iTunes Music Store (ITMS) to the ID3 tags.  I’m tempted use this tip and change the artwork for my albums as the ITMS artwork is much better quality than Amazon’s, which is where most artwork apps grab the album covers from.
