Added Chitika Related Product Units (RPU) To My Site
I’ve just added my final Chitika unit to my site. In addition to my Shoplinc store and the manual product deeplinks I’ve created with the custom shoplinc alinks module I wrote, I have just added the Chitika Related Products Units (RPU) to my site. I think these units could work quite well. You can see them in operation in the ‘Read more’ tab at the bottom of all my posts. Under my ‘related posts’ links I now have 3 ‘Related Products’ links.
Thanks to some coding magic from Ajay, these links show links to products based upon keywords I set for each post. The code seems to be working quite well, although I’m waiting for one more line of code that allows me to control the order in which the unit scans the keywords I’ve set for matching products.

I’ve written the tutorial on the same. It should go live in around 10 hours.
I just add the title tag into Chitika Code to contextually target it. Works fine on my blog.
I had some great success with Chitika RPU ads, I hope you’ll have the same.
I’m not sure I’d be comfortable using just the title tag. What I’ve done is put my UTW tags in, plus manual keywords as well. I should get my first data tomorrow so it’ll be interesting to see if Chitika finally starts to make a few dollars
My article is now online.
EB please give it some publicity.
